"Normal" Barbie Doll To Be Sold

For years, Barbie has been the go to doll for children everywhere to play with. What many people did not like about Barbie was that her body parts were disproportionate and if her dimensions were to be real, she would most likely topple over because of her large chest size and tiny frame.

A designer named Nickolay Lamm designed a "normal" Barbie in which her proportions are more so of a 19 year old girl. He also created cellulite, stretch marks, and tattoo stickers that can be placed on the Barbie doll to show what a real woman looks like. He also created many other stickers that girls can customize their doll with to match themselves. For example, bruises, stains, freckles, etc.

I think this is a wonderful creation because it not only encourages girls that it is okay to be in the skin that they are in, but that you don't have to look a certain way. Lamm says, "I want to show that average is beautiful."
