Bruce Jenner: The Interview

For the past few months, it's been a major topic of discussion when it comes to Bruce Jenner. Is Bruce transitioning? Is it a rumor? The speculations were out of control and countless magazines made disgusting jokes about what Bruce's gender might be. These jokes were put as captions under photoshopped pictures of the reality star/former Olympian wearing makeup.

The interview with Diane Sawyer premiered this evening and that's all the focus has been on. Jenner has confirmed that they are in fact a woman. Throughout the interview, Bruce used male pronouns, but also referred to himself as "her" and "Bruce." Bruce has struggled with being transgender since early childhood and felt that their whole life was a lie.

It's good to see that Bruce Jenner is feeling a lot more comfortable and is moving forward in life. With the scrutiny that may come with this interview, this will also bring awareness to the world about the transgender community and the dangers that they face daily.
